You can travel to wayanad the hilly district by driving two hours from Calicut which will be an experience to keep lifelong.

There is no guest out right on the beach however there are some small hotels at the town center which is hardly 10 minutes walk from the beach, This beach is approximately 16 kilometers from Kozhikode district centre
