Any suggestions for large groups? Has anyone had the experience of going with a group 25+ to visit the gardens? Interested in logistics (seating, general capacity/visitation, etc.) more than purchasing tickets. Is there a limit for number of tickets sold a day?

There are limited tickets per day but they handle tours of the grounds and exhibits for groups of 15 or so...
If you don’t want to book online in advance, how do you contribute the donation? Is there a donation box on the way in or out? Can you donate any amount or will you get the side eye for donating less than the recommended?

I think there was a donation box at in the main entrance. Very friendly staff and a great visit.
How easy is it to get here? Can you take public transportation from downtown DC? How much would the cab be approximately?

It is in a residential neighborhood near UDC just off of Connecticut Ave. You can take either an Uber directly from your location or the metro to the Van Ness-UDC stop and then an Uber for a 5-7 min drive from there. I can’t say exactly the total cost of the trip w/out knowing where you’re traveling from, though I believe you can.....

Yes there is free parking. Parking around the mall is tough. On the weekend get there by 9am and it will be easy
