Apple Festival specific review. What a waste of time and money! This event is over hyped and poorly managed. Firstly, trying to find parking was nearly impossible. There's a shuttle to the event fro…Full review by Em J

If you want a stroll through a heavily forested park, this is your place. The gift shop has seeds, gifts, plants and plenty of gardening books for adults and children.Full review by bonniew61

What are the gardens like during the end of October? Have most of the plants died back? We're visiting at the end of the month and I really want to go to the gardens but if there isn't much to see then I'll wait to revisit in the spring/ summer. Thanks!

Is April and/or May a good time to visit for many blooms this year (2017)? If not, would later be better for this area? Was curious when most flowers might be in bloom for this year or generally in this climate/region. Thank you for your time and expertise! Excited to visit for the first time.

Magnolias and rhododendrons have just started to bloom! We've had an incredibly cold and snowy winter, so we are far behind what we've been experiencing in the past few years. While you could certainly see blooms in April, you will likely see more in May and/or throughout the summer. Excited to have you come visit!

Hello, UBC Botanical Garden does charge a modest admission price that starts at just $9 for an adult for admission to the garden. There are discounted rates for seniors, children, youth and families as well as the UBC Museums and Gardens pass mention by another person which is a great value if you plan on visiting the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, Nitobe Memorial Garden and the Museum of Anthropology. We also have an upgrade to go on our Greenheart Canopy Walkway, which just recently won a national garden tourism award! All of the rates can be found on our website on our rates page, which unfortunately I cannot link to here because it is against TripAdvisor's terms. Revenue generated by the garden's admission fees goes back into supporting our research, conservation, education and public outreach on topics like sustainability and biodiversity. Please reply back if you have any additional questions. ~ UBC Botanical Garden staff
