I would call the organisers. This is a group activity. If you were never on a kayak, there is some possibility that you may flip and end up in the water. Having said that, you will be wearing a vest, so you won't sink. If that happens, you need to be physically able to get back to your kayak (and that's not easy). If you can't do that you will force the tour to stop and attend to you, which will take a lot of time and I'm guessing the rest of the group won't be very happy... lol. But that shouldn't stop you from doing things you want to do! Why not take some swim lessons beforehand? Good luck!
