I wasn't aware there were cottages to stay but the preserve is just beautiful and I believe there is also an equestrian center where you can go horseback riding on trails...something I would love to do. The grounds at the preserve are pristine and give you a great idea of what old FL living must have been like.

Last time I was there, there was no charge. I imagine they accept donations though. But, they only do it certain days at specific times. Best to call, or check online, to plan when …

Last time I was there, there was no charge. I imagine they accept donations though. But, they only do it certain days at specific times. Best to call, or check online, to plan when to go for a tour. The exterior and grounds are accessible during regular park hours.

I agree with all the previous posts... with the addition of, don't wait until summer! Bugs will be pretty bad if primitive camping.
