A visit to one of the observation point is a must, up close to the volcano, with hard hats on hand should you need them. Due to poor signage, we couldn't find the giant radish farm.Full review by Pauline O

We are a family of 8 with aged members and infants. We want to travel with JR pass from Hiroshima to Kagoshima to see the active volcano and stay at Fukuoka. 1. How to do this? 2. Is it feasible to do it in the manner planned with luggage? 3. Alternatively, Is there a cloak room to keep luggage in Kagoshima station?

There are coin lockers to keep your luggage in at the Kagoshima station. I would recommend getting a private tour van arranged before going if there are 8 people.
I have a stop here on a cruise from noon until 11pm How long/time would it take to get to the ferry for a trip to the mountain? Is the ferry far from the ship port and what transportation is available to get from the ship to the ferry?
