Captain America star Anthony Mackie has compared the upcoming Brave New World to The First Avenger in terms of how each builds towards a "massive moment" in the MCU.

The actor, who debuted as Sam Wilson/Falcon in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, confirmed his return in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, slated for 2026 and 2027 releases. Mackie hinted at even more appearances, expressing hope for another standalone Captain America film and team-ups with other superheroes.

Mackie has further backlash from conservatives after more quotes from his Esquire interview surfaced on social media. The actor shot down speculation that Red Hulk, the alter ego of US president Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford, is a nod towards Donald Trump.
