The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Igloo is recalling its 90 quart Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers after the company received 12 reports of fingertip injuries including amputations, bone fractures and lacerations.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall notice Thursday for Igloo's 90-quart Flip & Tow rolling coolers, saying the coolers' tow handles have the potential to cause injury, pinching a user's fingertips against the cooler and leading to crushing or fingertip amputations.

Recalled rolling coolers were sold for a six-year period by retailers nationwide including Amazon, Costco and Target.

The Katy, Texas-based Igloo company is recalling over one million coolers due to its handle posing risks for fingertip crushing.
