After House Oversight Committee ranking member Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) called out Trump’s (allegedly illegal) mass firing of 17 inspectors general ― the internal investigators literally tasked with sniffing out bad behavior ― Greene bizarrely blamed the same civil servants for the entirety of the federal debt.

Both representing the Democratic Party, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are Georgia's senators. Ossoff is likely running for re-election during the 2026 election cycle. Warnock's seat will not be up for re-election until 2028.
