The ABS has been used at the Triple-A level for 2023 and 2024. MLB research found that a challenge adds an estimated 17 seconds to the time of game. A player must immediately challenge a call without advice from the bench. The location of the pitch is then shown on the scoreboard and on fans' televisions at home.
