The UConn women’s basketball team put on an offensive masterclass in its 100-57 rout of Villanova at Gampel Pavilion on Wednesday to remain undefeated in Big East play. It was the team’s highest-scoring performance against the Wildcats in 63 previous meetings dating back to 1981 and their second 100-point game of the season.

The duo’s friendship began in 2017 during the FIBA U16 AmericaCup and grew stronger as they played alongside each other for UConn women's basketball. However, both have faced injuries, spending a large amount of time sidelined. Despite these setbacks, their mutual support has been crucial to their recoveries and current performances.

Paige Bueckers had 21 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in just three quarters to help No. 6 UConn rout Villanova 100-57 on Wednesday night.
