The political landscape surrounding one of Florida’s more controversial November ballot measures, Amendment 4, is heating up.
Efforts dating back years have continued to make it harder for anyone but the Legislature to put questions on the ballot.
During arguments over whether Amendment 4 should be allowed on the ballot, some Florida justices raised the question of whether unborn children are covered in that constitutional guarantee.
The governor argued the petition process was “fraudulent” for Amendment 4, the failed ballot initiative that would have enshrined abortion rights up to viability in the Florida constitution.
