A Learjet 55 medical aircraft went down at approximately 6:30 p.m. in Northeast Philadelphia off the busy Roosevelt Boulevard, lighting up the rainy night sky with a fireball explosion upon impact.

Communications with the ambulance Learjet 55 which came down in Philadelphia indicate that the accident occurred just after take-off, as the aircraft was transferred to departure control.
