The nominees for the 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class is out. As usual it is an eclectic bunch that includes some surprises. See who did, and didn't, make the list.

Rock Hall nominations are out, but not all music fans are happy with who was included on the list to be considered.

There are 14 nominees put forward as possible inductees to the institution this year, and eight of those are first-time nominees. Those are Bad Company, the Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol,

Mariah Carey and OutKast have earned a nomination to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2025 Class.

The late R&B singer was the original frontman of The Impressions, a musical group that he co-founded with Curtis Mayfield.

The 83 year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, perhaps best known for mega hits like “Mrs. Robinson,” “The Sound of Silence” and “America,” made the announcement on Tuesday as he referenced his “Quiet Celebration Tour” in an Instagram post.

Phish is off to a very strong start after one week of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fan voting. The jam band kings have gotten 101,157 fan votes since they were announced as one of 14 nominees for the class of 2025.
