Naya Rivera's ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, has revealed their son is following in his mother's musical footsteps five years after her tragic death. On Wednesday, February 19, the 41-year-old appeared on Good Morning America to talk about the Glee alum's death and how he and his son Josey are coping.

Four months after Rivera’s death, Dorsey filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of his son against Ventura County and Lake Piru’s management. The suit was settled in 2022. He told People that it was “too hard” for him to talk about Rivera’s passing at length over the last four and a half years.

Naya Rivera and her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, had considered expanding their family after their divorce but before her unexpected death. “We went back and forth playing house,” Dorsey, 41, told People in an interview published on Saturday,

"It just rocks my world that he had to witness her last moments," Ryan Dorsey said of their son, who was with Rivera before she drowned while swimming in Lake Piru.
