Team Sweden was dealt a blow on Jan. 22 when New Jersey Devils goaltender Jacob Markström was injured during the second period of a game against the Boston Bruins.

The Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks have two goalie options available for Sweden at the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off.

A team source for Sweden has confirmed to The Inquirer that Ersson will go if either Jacob Markström (sprained knee) and Linus Ullmark (back) are unavailable due to injury.
