The New York Jets have revealed the three finalists for their general manager position and a decision is expected on Thursday, January 23.

Aaron Glenn has been hired as the new head coach in New York. That move was announced on Wednesday. That decision was swiftly made and all signs pointed to Washington Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark being named the Jets GM. That’s because Newmark and Glenn have a history of working together while both were with the Detroit Lions.

He must have impressed because Mougey is one of only three known candidates who were called back for a second interview. A source confirmed to 9NEWS on Wednesday that Mougey, who is now the Broncos' assistant general manager, has been called back by the Jets for a second interview.

It was widely assumed that Glenn and Washington Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark were a package deal. After all, they worked together for three years with the Detroit Lions, and both were present Tuesday at the team facility for second interviews. Newmark was the first GM candidate to get a second (in-person) interview.
