ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - One person died in a small plane crash in Albemarle County on Saturday, January 25. According to a Virginia State Police news release, a plane coming from Rockingham, N.C., crashed in a wooded area off of East Monacan Drive at around 12:50 p.m., just a few miles south of the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport.
