HOUSTON — The Houston Independent School District announced Wednesday that Sandi Massey is HISD's new Chief of Schools. According to HISD, Massey has three decades of experience in education.

In an email sent to parents Thursday that was obtained by Houston Public Media, Principal Suparna Vashisht said, “Contractors are actively working to install temporary heating units in the classrooms.
