Google Calendar has removed International Holocaust Remembrance Day and Jewish American Heritage Month from its default display in the United States, part of a broader removal of cultural and ethnic observances from the app.

The company says that as of 2024, it began listing only public holidays and national observances, not cultural and historical events.

Google Calendar has removed cultural celebrations like Black History Month, Women’s History Month and Pride Month as President Trump cracks down on diversity, equity and inclusion policies. The calendar has also erased Indigenous People Month,
