Of the 30 films nominated for this year's Oscars, only The Wild Robot addresses the planets ecological crises, according to an environmental consulting firm. The animated film passed the ‘Climate Change Reality Check test by depicting extreme weather and rising sea levels.

The Wild Robot” is the only one of 30 films nominated for Academy Award honors this year to reflect the ecological crises that are bearing down on the planet. That’s the conclusion of a study by the nonprofit environmental consulting firm Good Energy that examines how contemporary films represent climate change.

Bechdel Test (of sorts) for climate change by non-profit Good Energy said the animated film has environmental themes "subtly woven into the fabric of the storyworld."
