Former UFC stars Eddie Alvarez (1-1) and Jeremy Stephens (2-0) are set to clash in the main event of the bareknuckle boxing event at Wells Fargo Center in Alvarez’s hometown of Philadelphia.

“Eddie Alvarez, make no mistake, is a Philadelphia hero,” McGregor said of his UFC 205 rival. “I’m excited to see him in his homecoming against a tough, volatile fighter, it’s going to be one hell of a show.

McGregor beat Alvarez by second-round TKO in November 2016 at UFC 205, but is supporting the Kensington native because "there is a camaraderie and a respect among real fighters."
