Texas football added to its 2026 recruiting class on National Signing Day as Melissa offensive tackle Max Wright announced his commitment to Texas.

As of Tuesday, the Longhorns had the top signing class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. If that holds, it will mark the first time Texas' signed the nation's top class since 2002. That class included Vince Young, who quarterbacked the Longhorns to their most recent national championship.

Ranked as a consensus three-star prospect, Wright is the No. 409 player nationally and the No. 33 offensive tackle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Wright measures
