California passed two bills to expedite LA wildfire recovery funds as part of an extended special session called by Gov.
The proposals include $2.5 billion for the state’s emergency disaster response efforts, such as evacuations, sheltering survivors and removing household hazardous waste.
The funding will help pay for fire response, debris removal, rebuilding schools and remediating post-fire hazards such as flooding.
