We are getting our first look of the Gilbert man who Eloy Police say died in a skydiving accident in Eloy, it's the second death within eight days.

Gilbert man Shawn Bowen died in a parachuting incident in Eloy, Arizona when his parachute failed to open. Despite his experience and having made over 200 jumps, he did not survive the hard landing. Eloy Police are investigating the tragedy.

Eloy is just south of Phoenix and home to Skydive Arizona, where people from around the country come to jump out of planes and take in the mountainous southwest landscape. A 46-year-old man from Gilbert named Shawn Bowen died while skydiving near Eloy Municipal Airport on Saturday morning.
