T & Dave’s Barbershop, a 19th Ward staple for over 30 years, has closed due to the Genesee Street reconstruction project.

For many, the Black barbershop is a sanctuary, a space where people can reflect on their experiences, exchange personal stories, and connect with others who understand their struggles and triumphs.
