Two krewes in Thibodaux also announced changes on Friday for their Sunday parades. Ambrosia completely canceled its parade for 2025 while Shaka rescheduled for Tuesday, March 4. Those originally set to participate in the Krewe of Gambrinus parade are invited to join a newly scheduled parade at 7:30 p.m.

The good times rolled in Vancleave on Saturday afternoon as the Mystic Krewe of Pine Island’s Thunder on the Bayou rolled through the streets.

According to Carnival historian and Mardi Gras Guide founder Arthur Hardy, the city’s first organized parading organization, the Mistick Krewe of Comus, was also the first to have one of its parades featured in a printed bulletin.
