WJW-TV Cleveland on MSNWATCH: Rare ‘Black Demon’ fish spotted alive for first timeA deep-sea anglerfish, known as the Black Demon, had a rare spotting off the coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
According to the organization, the fish is a so-called “black seadevil” known by its scientific name Melanocetus johnsonii. They typically swim between 650 and 6,500 feet below the ocean’s surface.
