Between an inch to two inches of snow could accumulate before it turns to rain. The forecast high temperature is about 40 to 42 degrees on Friday, but that doesn’t mean the snow and ice will melt as soon as temperatures rise over freezing.

Northeast Ohio's forecast for this weekend calls for sunshine on Friday, followed by periods of rain and snow Saturday and Sunday.

Another winter storm rolled through the state on Thursday, bringing snow, then sleet and rain, to Portland. The result was a heavy blanket of wet snow and slush, slouching off parked cars and caking sidewalks and streets with a thickness that frustrated some plow drivers.

Snowflakes started falling across the Willamette Valley this morning — dusting roads, plants and backyard furniture with white flurries. As cold weather moves across the state, much of Oregon is under winter storm or weather warnings from the National Weather Service through Friday.
