Amazon’s decision to close Quebec warehouses and facilities has drawn reactions from the Canadian government and unions.

Online retailer Amazon plans to close all seven of its warehouses in the Canadian province of Quebec in the next two months.

The online retail giant said the move was not linked to recent unionization efforts by workers in the Canadian province.

Amazon.com said it is closing its warehouses in Quebec and returning to a third-party delivery model, a move which the province's labor representatives called an attack on employees and the union.
