If free agent third baseman Alex Bregman wants a lengthy contract this offseason, it doesn't sound like he'll get it from the Boston Red Sox.

Although Alex Bregman has been heavily tied to Boston this offseason, the sides are reportedly not on the same page over contract length.

“The Sox have remained engaged on Bregman, but multiple sources said as of earlier this week, the team’s interest had been in a deal of no more than four years,” writes Spier. “For now, it seems unlikely Bregman would accept a contract of that length.”
