Royal Caribbean announced the name and home port for its third Icon-class ship that is set to inherit the title of world’s largest cruise ship when it debuts in 2026.

The third ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class is set to debut in July of 2026 with a season of far-flung weeklong sailings. It's also sailing under a familiar name. We have the details.

The next Icon Class ship will carry the name Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International said in a press release. Currently under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard, the 250,800-ton vessel will debut in the Western Mediterranean in July 2026.

Royal Caribbean International has revealed the name and planned itineraries of its third Icon Class ship, due to launch in summer 2026. Legend of the Seas will provide “an unmatched combination of experiences” and sail year-round from Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
