I just wanted to add that the creative team that made Ninja Gaiden were the ones behind the Black edition of the game. While the Sigma version was handled by a different in house team at tecmo. Sigma is also a great game, but it has superfluous upgrades, changes, and additions.

Debilarho, lunar, Unlabored lawlessness all have their uses at specific moments where they surpass any other weapon IMO. Lunar for berserkers is “chefs kiss” dabilarho is so versatile and can be used to dispatch tankier enemies. And the low health UF is indefensible against bosses again imo. But my all time favorite will always the true dragon sword hehe, so much fun.

Mar 1, 2022 · Ninja Gaiden II Vs Sigma II is where things are a bit more complicated. Again, for reference, Sigma 2 was the PS3 port and is the version included in the collection. Most fans, myself included, absolutely hate Sigma II. It destroys everything that made the original version of Ninja Gaiden II enjoyable.

I've been hearing claims about how Black overall is a much harder game than the vanilla version of Ninja Gaiden. Any time i see Sigma mentioned anywhere, people seem to shoehorn an argument that Black was superior. So i'm here to ask the source (fans of the series) to list all the reasons why Ninja Gaiden Sigma is so terrible compared to Black, and why exactly black is just so much better.
