Here is a Natural Mink Patched McTabby - a Natural (black/brown) and red cat with mackerel tabby stripes + mink. The Silver gene causes the base of each individual hair to be white (so the color is only at the tip of the hair).

Nov 1, 2022 · A male cat with more than two colours always has to have two X’s too (and a Y to make him phenotypically male), which is an intersex condition called Klinefelter (XXY genotype). Klinefelter males are also sterile. For a cat to be orange, a cat needs to have only the orange gene and no other colour gene.

Jan 9, 2024 · I think the cat is American maine coon. American line has softer, less pronounced features than European line, but it's still MCO. I find it more concerning that it was written by 2 certified vets who think that tabby is a cat breed.

Mar 15, 2020 · Another fun fact about cat patterns is that on a tabby cat, the darker colour in its stripes is technically its base colour. A tabby cat with brown and black fur is considered to be a black tabby. An easy way to check a tabby cat's genetic base colour is to look at the tip of its tail (if it is not white due to spotting).

Yeah my orange cat is still a kitten but you can already tell he’s gonna be an odd bird. He doesn’t jump like a normal cat, it’s like he just levitates really fast, his legs don’t move. He also licks windows and tries to nurse his brother.
