Xaden opened up the bond with Violet and at that moment was on the verge of burning out to save Xaden and her loved ones. Xaden needed to save Violet so in that moment he decided to wield from the earth, the price of using that type of magic is losing part of your soul and having the constant need for more power. Jun 17, 2023 · Chapter 19- Xaden seemingly knowing how Violet feels and fixing the situation for her “Hope you’re not afraid of the dark.” He pulls me inside, and suffocating darkness envelops us as the door closes. This is fine. This is absolutely fine. “But just in case you are,” Xaden says, his voice at full volume as he snaps.

Garrick seemed well aware of how Xaden felt and how he looked at Violet, which is much more reliable since they've been friends for 20 years. Garrick saw through Xaden's mask of indifference pretty early on, it just took Violet longer because she needed to get to know Xaden in order to realize that she had misread him.

In the chapter Xaden and Dain fight in the patio about who is the wing leader (or who has the biggest dic* lol) and Violet chooses to go with Xaden. In this moment, Dain KNOWS IS A TRAP, he essentially says goodbye to Violet knowing she is either going to die or come back a rebel (and be potentially executed/arrested) while hugging her and ...

I think that Xaden will goes on a dark spiral for most of the 3rd book, sending violet on a trip travelling to the isles to try and find something to cure Xaden. And while she’s there the people she hears stories of folklaw about a hidden island of dragons, the 7th breed that are obviously camouflage/colour changing dragons.
