For example, I've played more Rimworld in early access then I played the full release version. The early access felt like a full game, you did not feel like anything was missing.

Check the genere and its positive/negative rating. If it fits your liking go for it. Do not wait for labels to allow you to buy a game.

I can confirm that players access to all the expansions during early access at least to previous experiences. Last year I was in a similar boat as OC and gained access to Heavensward at the same time Stormblood early access began.

Staying in early access to wave away criticism is a dishonest practice and anti-consumer. It gives less incentive for a dev to fix bugs in their program. A serious bug in an early access title is tolerated more than a bug in a finished game. You can sucker in potential customers with grandiose promises if a title stays in early access.

Oct 8, 2020 · Very rarely do games get massive updates in early access that makes the magically better. Once you start doing this then some early access games will be more appealing and the rest can be ignored. Its how I found out about games like Factorio and Rimworld which were amazing early access titles that were complete games.
