Feb 4, 2025 · I realize that the MBTA is not going to provide that function or allow others to use its property for such (God forbid), but it seems somewhat surprising that there aren't a few enthusiasts who would have found a way to set up views at a few locations of interest.

Feb 3, 2025 · Any chance of getting detailed track maps for MBTA commuter rail? I am creating a map in Google Earth, saving to .kmz files. It is impossible to get any good detail in Boston itself, especially in the North Station area, with all the highways covering the tracks, and the subway and commuter lines intermingled.

It is a state government entity, and I strongly suspect (someone with specific info please correct me if I am wrong) that as a government entity, it has duly adopted under Massachusetts law a set of regulations in its quasi-legislative capacity as a government entity.

5 days ago · The MBTA has requested bids to overhaul 10 F40PH-2C/F40PHM-2C locomotives with an option to overhaul 26 additional locomotives (36 total). The overhaul is expected to extend the service life by 10 years minimum without future component overhauls, and 20 years maximum with future component overhauls, but units will not be considered remanufactured.
