Rosemary Farm Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, founded in 2012, to rescue equines in need and protect them for life. One of the largest facilities in the Northeast, there are over 100 equines in residence at this magical mountain home, located three hours and a world away from New York City.

Rosemary Farm’s primary focus is rescue and sanctuary — stepping in for horses in need and protecting them for life. The Sanctuary also provides programs to benefit these equines and the local community, and to support responsible equine ownership.

Rosemary Farm is ‘where horses get to be horses’. Rosemary Farm saves equines from slaughter, neglect, and abuse. Most have been passed from owner to owner, never knowing a herd or consistency.

At Rosemary Farm, everything starts with the horse, what they want, what they need. If that aligns with what a special person or family might be seeking and have to offer, we will consider adoption. This means only a small number of our equines are available for adoption at any point in time!
