Well, I think it's gold because it looks gold, and it was bought by a relative from the Westminster mint along with several other golds. I'm trying to find some info on the coin and I can'r find anything online. It's like the coin never existed.

In the UK we have had an avalanche of new 50p and £2 coins since 2016 that haven't been issued for circulation, and we can't get loose 38mm cupro-nickel £5 coins for face value from the banks any more - we have to pay about double face value and order them from The Royal Mint, Westminster Collection or the Koin Club.
