8 Aug 2016 · According to Airbnb's literature and terms of condition, this is because if you pay in USD, while the host desired payment in Euros, Airbnb will take your USD and convert them to Euros for you (for a 3% fee), then they will pay the host in his desired currency. What frustrates me is that I do not need Airbnb to convert any money.

3 Jan 2022 · 6. Will Airbnb remove a bad review? Probably not. It has to violate their policy (profanity, racial language, not relevant to the actual stay etc.) You can ask but removals are rare. 7. What do the stars mean for guests? Guests are rated in 3 areas-- cleanliness, following rules and communication. There is a "star" score for each.

30 Nov 2017 · This is quite surprising, but based on the ethics I have seen AirBnB display it makes some sense. I still can't believe I had to share so much private information to rent through the AirBnB service. I don't think banks collect as much information when they loan you money.

14 Dec 2024 · Nov 1st : I cancelled a 100% refundable reservation (Paid via bank ACH). Refund e-mail was sent from AirBNB. The refund never hit my account. Nov 30th: Contacted Airbnb about this. They said the first refund attempt failed and they'll try again They blamed it on my bank. The rep says that they guarantee it will go through. Nothing hits my account.

7 Nov 2018 · I finally found it by clicking on my profile then on the left, one of the choices is 'switch to hosting '. I had been looking around for somewhere to go using Airbnb lodging, so that switched me over to 'traveling ' so going back to my profile i found 'switch to hosting '.

25 Jan 2024 · I have had a "needs attention" warning on one of my listings for almost a year. This was related to one guest who had a minor issue with his stay and gave a 1 for check in and 3 for overall. Otherwise this listing is a 5 star. I am concerned that this "needs attention" warning is preventing my listing from being pushed out by the Airbnb algorithm.
