Change can wreak havoc in dementia caregiving. Changes in temperature, light, seasons, and time affect us all, but our loved ones going through cognitive changes often feel it more acutely and can’t manage the effects. Having compassion for ourselves and others can help us to have patience for the changes and transitions we experience in life every day, and help us to make the next best choice.
