WCCO digital headlines: Morning of July 21, 2023

This week at Citizens Academy participants got training with the tools of the trade. Spring Lake Park, Blaine, Mounds View Fire Dept. provided cutters, separators, and other hydraulic extraction tools that are used to cut through cars and rip open vehicle doors to release stricken occupants. These are highly powerful pieces of equipment and capable of removing any material or debris obstructing a crash victims exit from a vehicle.Thank you to SBM Fire Dept. for your time, training, and the cars!
